Francesco Agrusti

Francesco Agrusti, PhD is a software engineer and full-time professor of Experimental Pedagogy at the Department of Education, University of Roma Tre. He is a member of the Laboratory of Experimental Pedagogy and of the Centre for Museum Studies, both of Roma Tre University. His principal research activity covers the following topics: educational assessment, international comparative studies on educational systems, distance learning, Educational Data Mining, AI for education, individualized and personalized learning environments, educational robotics, enhancing cultural heritage trough technologies, automated assessment in education. From 2012 to 2015 he was member of AEA (Association for Educational Assessment) Europe, and since 2010 he is member of EDEN (European Distance and E-learning Network) and EDEN NAP (Network of Academics and Professional). Since 2016 he is member of the Italian Society for Educational Research (SIRD) and of the national association Italian Society of Pedagogy (SIPED). In 2018 he was awarded of EDEN Fellow title. He was visiting scholar in July 2015 at the University of California Berkeley (CA, USA). He is the coordinator of the research unit of the University of Roma Tre of the Project of Significant National Interest (PRIN) “LingUistic Complexity Evaluation in educaTion (LuCET)”. He is in the editorial board of the international journal of experimental pedagogy CADMO (ISI/Scopus) and reviewer for several scientific journals (like GRAPHOS, FORM@RE and EDUCAZIONE). Since 2018, he has been part of the scientific and organizational committee of the annual conference "EduIA – Education Artificial Intelligence". He is the director of the Editorial Series of Ateneo Roma Tre Press entitled "Education and Artificial Intelligence".
